Travel photos

Welcome back.

It's been a long time since I've posted here, but I have more time now and would like to make it more of a regular thing.  I have retired and am spending more time thinking about photography again and when my wife retires in June, we will be traveling a fair bit.  We are planning an RV Trip of the mid-western US and I would love to take you all along.  
That being said, we just returned from a trip to Arizona where I was able to get some very fun photos.

Travel photography can take many shapes when it comes to subject matter and much of it revolves around locations, people and things like wildlife and other unique opportunities which are native to the area you are traveling. 
Arizona has many faces, but most people think of the desert and the mountains which are contiguous to the area.  There are unique wildlife opportunities as well, which many times for me leads to the birds.  This trip and one we took in December were capped by scenery, birds, donkeys and aircraft.
The Pleasant Lake area has a native population of wild donkeys which are very tame and easy to approach.  Luke AFB in Phoenix is one of the best locations to photography f35 Fighter planes and their are many types of birds that are more prevalent in AZ. 
The obvious prevalence of spiky things makes for some fun photos with the sun in the background and the bright sun makes for some excellent Black and White opportunities as well.
